We've discovered that some patrons may be experiencing some technical issues which are not immediately evident to the service providers. Librarian messages are constantly repeating in the patron's chat window/Qwidget.
I've created a tech trouble script for you to use when patrons log in to alert them that there may be issues:
Begin - Tech Trouble: AskAway is currently experiencing technical issues - you may see repeating messages from the librarian. We are working on getting this resolved as soon as possible, and apologise for the inconvenience. If you start getting repeating messages, please let us know as we won't see them at our end.

In consultation with QP, we're narrowing down the scope of the problem. It is only occurring with certain types of Qwidget patrons, and not with patrons using the viewport or full-screen access.
Patrons coming in via the Qwidget from the following institutions will most likely experience the repeating messages issue. When you see [Qwidget] in the question from patrons of these libraries, you'll want to send them the Begin - Tech Trouble script right away to alert them:
Camosun College
Kwantlen Polytechnic University
Douglas College
Emily Carr University of Art and Design
Northwest Community College
University of the Fraser Valley
University of Northern BC
University of Victoria
Vancouver Island University
Yukon College
The reason for this is these institutions have the 'old' style of Qwidget which isn't functioning as optimally as the 'new' Qwidget. I will be working with folks from these libraries to get their Qwidgets updated ASAP, and QP is also working to get the problem resolved on their end, but in the meantime we'll just have to keep patrons updated on what is happening.
