On behalf of the Academic Librarians in Public Service (ALPS) Awards Committee, I am pleased to inform you that the 2007 ALPS Award goes to the AskAway Online Reference Service – Participating Academic Librarians, Planning Committee and Supporters.
To quote from the letter of nomination, "AskAway is exemplary of the phenomenal power librarians bring to academia when they work together, leveraging the abilities of every institution from the smallest to the largest. To have pulled it off in so short a time is truly phenomenal and speaks of the experience and success which we as ELN members have achieved working together."
The awards presentation and celebration will take place during the BCLA conference on Friday, April 20, 7pm - midnight at the Burnaby Art Gallery (following the AskAway reception).
